About The Event
Steer Your Story: healing our narrative from the inside out in these troubling times.
In these current challenging times, we are all experiencing trauma to various degrees simply being alive in this interconnected world. Because of the internet we are more immersed immediately as events unfold.
Trauma impacts our inner narrative which then deeply affects how we view self, interact with others and navigate through the world. It also impacts the stories we tell and how we tell them. In these troubling times, it is essential not only for ourselves, but for those we serve to be mindfully aware of how our inner narrative impacts our outer actions.
If we truly believe in compassion for others and for self, we can choose to navigate through in a less stressed way. Calm is not complicit; it does not mean we agree or endorse the negative events. It does mean that we become aware that constant outrage and feeling helpless or hopeless drains ourselves and others. Reduce burn out and remain resilient.
Kristin Pedemonti shares her journey of facilitating healing from trauma workshops across the US including examples of what she witnessed as survivors who participated began to revise their own narratives. She will also share specific tools and techniques you can use immediately to acknowledge the impact of trauma on your inner narrative & be able to shift perspective (if need be) so you can take more control and continue your important work with more ease.
The question is: What changes in our inner narrative & our outward voice/actions when we can pull back and see more clearly what’s underneath?
